Purement Anti Microbial Filament Competition

This is a tongue scraper, and if you don't use one, you just might have terrible breath.  Traditionally, you need to be very careful about printing things that will go in your mouth,  not just for any toxins that might be in whichever filament you choose, but also because the layer lines and small voids found in FDM printed objects tend to be a breeding ground for bacteria.  With the announcement of the Purement filament, however, I'm willing to finally give this a try!  

Print this as oriented in the STL - there is a small flat space touching the build area at zero in the STL.   Add a brim appropriate to your printer and material's requirements. For example, if printing this with PLA on glass, a brim of 5 might be appropriate for a .4mm nozzle.   If printing this with Nylon on Wood, no brim would be required.   Based on the information I've been able to find online, I would treat this as you would any PLA, and print with an appropriate number of brim outlines based on your personal experience with your printer when printing PLA.  Be wary of overextrusion that might cause your upper layers to thicken and potentially cause the part to be knocked off the build plate. 

I'd recommend printing this at .2mm.

Keep in mind that if this is going to be used in your mouth, that if you are using a brass nozzle, there is the potential for metallic pollutants such as lead to be introduced into the printed part.  Please do your research and determine if the risks outweigh the rewards.  Also, remember that even with extended purging, previously used filaments might be introduced into the part after being picked up in the extruder.  While this is unlikely to significantly impact the antibacterial properties of the scraper, it might make it taste bad, or be harmful in some way, for instance if you've been printing Polycarbonate through the same extruder.  Again, please be educated about the risks, and enjoy your improved breath and oral health!
