WARNING: Printed pieces may break into small parts which become choking hazards! Never let a child play with 3D printed toys without supervision.
Toy screw set for children (ages 3+).
Includes models for:
- Wrench
- Screw
- Screwdriver shaft
- Screwdriver handle
- Box (without the pictured lettering)
- Board
The threads on the screw are designed to be easy for a child to twist them, they are non-standard and will not fit any standard screw thread design that I know of.
Print settings:
- 0.2mm layer height
- Brim on the larger pieces to prevent warping (this is optional)
- No supports
- 4 perimiters on all the parts (especially the tools and screws).
The pictures include lettering which is not a part of the 3d model. I've attached the Blender source file I used to design these for you to add your own lettering.
Instructions for adding lettering:
- In the `Box` / `Box Utils` collection, select the `Text` object.
- Edit it with `Tab` to change the text.
- Optionally, resize the text in the object properties.
- Convert it to a mesh (see screenshot).
- In the Box's modifiers, add a boolean `Difference` targetting the Text mesh object (see screenshot).
- Hide the `Text` object and make sure the box looks okay.
- If you want lettering on both sides, duplicate the Text mesh, rotate it 180 degrees about the origin, and add a second boolean to the Box.
- Export to an STL (see screenshot for settings).
Print settings:
- 0.2mm layer height (this is important for the threads, but for the tools and box, you can change this).
- Brim on the larger pieces to prevent warping (this is optional)
- No supports
- 4 perimiters on all the parts (especially the tools and screws).
