This is a model meant for use as a pattern for sand casting.
Its a simple design optimized for 3d printing.
I recommend printing the handle and blade at a very fine layer height (.08 is what I use).
To achieve the highest detail possible I recommend printing the handles horizontally and the blade vertically. The file "Blade Optimized for Vertical Printing" has a brace attached which will allow the blade to be printed successful. The brace needs to be removed after printing.
Make sure to print the blade with 100% infill and the handle with at least 10 bottom layers, 3 walls and 40% infill to prevent warping.
