This is the bottom weight part of a drop spindle for spinning fiber into yarn.
You will also need a chopstick to push through the 3/16'' hole in the middle to compleate your spindle.
This has the ancient Egyption Hiroglyph for the number 10. It's represented by a coil of rope. It also has the cuniform letters that say 'yarn' imbeded into it.
