I separated the entire lightsaber into three main parts that can be easily screwed tpgether. The Botttom and Middle parts can be printed without support. The top has an overhang in the middle that I uses prusa's paint on supports, and also has a few parts on the outside that likely need support.
This was made for specific parts that I bought. I used an thin flashlight (https://www.amazon.com/dp/B072K27MCK?ref_=cm_sw_r_cp_ud_dp_2EYEQGB05M27KGX1EXYX) and also used an acrylic rod for the blade. The rod is made specifically to better defuse light to the outside and not just the two ends like a standard acrylic rod. I purchased this rod (https://plastic-craft.com/acrylite-led-light-guiding-edge-lit-round-rod/ I chose the XXL, diameter of .787" and a length of 48") and cut it down to 3 feet which has a better distribution of weight.
I printed at .15mm layer height at 3 perimeters on my Prusa mini. I had to use Prusa Slic3er's paint on supports for the top peice but other two do not need support
