This is a model of the main stem of a Polaris 280 pressure side pool cleaner. It connects to the main pressure line, the float, the tail, and to the internal mechanism via a hose.
I haven't yet printed it, and I don't know what material would be best for longevity in a high-chlorine environment with exposure to UV. A PVC-like material, or perhaps a nylon-like resin may work very well. I designed this with tolerances appropriate to my resin printers, so it may need to be tweaked for FDM printing.
I used Fusion 360 to model this. The external thread form for the float isn't an exact match because I couldn't apply a metric ISO thread to a cone, so I used a circular coil profile and matched the dimensions as closely as I could. Someone with more experience or a program that makes the process a bit more intuitive may be able to do better. If so, shoot me a message and show me how!
