Description
Rocket Launcher
It all started with:”Grandpa, I want a blue rocket on wheels with a button.”
Two weeks later their house was chaos. It’s my turn, it’s my turn. BAM!!!
Desperate parents, great fun...
That’s why I could not resist the urge to publish the 3D printed rocket with launcher.
Except for the printed parts, you need
- a PVC waste water duct, diameter 60x1.5 (the rocket hull)
- two wide (10 mm) rubber bands (diameter approx. 10 cm) (the propulsion)
- about 50 cm round wood rod, diameter 12 mm (the launcher)
Not all DIY-shops have 60mm PVC tube in stock, but they can order it easily at their own PVC supplier. A longer duct results in increased range. After installing all the parts, push the rocket over the shaft until the lock clicks in. The rocket is now ready for ignition, so don’t stand in front of it.
Push the two clamps simultaneously and “You have Ignition.”
Although not necessary, a carrier would be nice. Two pieces of wood and four (printed) wheels will do the job. To prevent damage, landing should take place on a soft surface.
