Willkommen in Berlin!
This is a version created by MiniWorld 3D collaborator @vandragon_de .
The Brandenburg Gate (German: Brandenburger Tor) is an 18th-century neoclassical monument in Berlin, built on the orders of Prussian king Frederick William II. Throughout its existence, the Brandenburg Gate was often a site for major historical events and is today considered not only as a symbol of the tumultuous history of Europe and Germany, but also of European unity and peace.
The Gate was designed by Carl Gotthard Langhans and built between 1788 and 1791. It consists of twelve Doric columns, six to each side, and a quadriga sculpture on top with the goddess Victoria. It is modeled after the Propylaea, the gates of Athen's Acropolis (from Wikipedia).
MiniWorld 3D is excited to bring this historical model to life as a homage to all the people of Berlin and Germany. This model was carefully designed by collaborator Vandragon_de, who takes the time to research and draw his 1:1000 scale models. Please give credit, it's all about spreading culture and education!
