Arcade spinner Paperboy handlebars - GRS USB BHS compatible

This is my version of the Paperboy arcade machine handlebars, it is purely for steering and has no other functions... yet.
I could modify it so that it has the fire buttons for throwing papers and even (maybe) the tilt function to trigger back and forth movement in game but the big issue would be the cabling. The spinner doesn't have a hollow core (plus the cable would twist up) so that's not an option. So the only other way would be just to have a spring cable out of the back, but you still would have to be careful not to rotate it too much as the cable would wrap around.
If anybody is interested in me creating a fully functional version than please leave a comment.
