Death Tyrants are undead beholders, similar to zombies, but retaining their innate magical abilities. Sometimes they are results of beholders demented will to exist beyond confines of death, and sometimes they came to be as necromantic servants of wizards, dark powers or even other beholders. Although they look like zombies, they are not mindless animated dead, but powerful necromantic abomination who continue to exbibit the madness and will for domination of the typical beholder, even if they are slaves to others.
