The beholder brushed off the rock dust that the sorcerer's explosion had caused. Azedius cursed under his breath as he prepared to cast another spell. "Niff," Azedius yelled as loud as he could, "I need you to distract that thing!" The magical lights began to illuminate her hands while she sprinkled the necessary materials, but it would take time to have the spell ready. The barbarian heard the sorcerer's call for help and, without thinking twice, began to run towards the beholder. The blood of their ancestors ran through their veins, boiling with the thrill of fighting and defeating a colossal foe. Her muscles tensed and his eyes were bloodshot. Tempus's voice echoed once more in her head: "Finish your enemies, destroy them all and bathe in their blood!" Frenzy washed over her, making her run even faster. Nif's shouts drew the attention of the beholder, who turned in her direction, ready to unleash one of his bolts. As Azedius finished creating the spell and began to cast it, Nif ran to a raised rock, giving herself the necessary momentum to pounce on the monster. Sword raised and with the momentum of 100 men, the barbarian delivered a colossal blow at the same time that the sorcerer hit the beholder squarely.
