Lokesvara is the name of the Bodhisattva Avalokiteshvara in Cambodia. Avalokitesvara (the lord who looks from above) is one of the great Bodhisattva of the Mahayana (Great Vehicle Buddhism). We recognize in the image of the Buddha Amitabha in his headdress. His compassion extends to all beings.
