Description
This marble bust depicts Cosimo de' Medici, one of the first de facto rulers of florence in the 15th Century. The bust is highly detailed, sculpted by Benvenuto Cellini in the 16th Century, and became part of one of the most important sculptures in the uprising of Mannerist artwork. The sculpture is on permanent display at the Museum of Fine Art in San Francisco.
This object is part of "Scan The World".
