Description

Epitome of devotion and courage, the chubby baby Hanuman is said to bring peace and strength to homes. Fearless in his pursuit for the ‘big mango’ (the Sun) that he saw through the trees, Hanuman flew far into the sky and tried to eat it. Scared by his guts the Sun God chided him but was also impressed by his courage and fearlessness and took him in as his disciple. Baby Hanuman, who later aids Lord Rama in his expedition against evil forces, is seen loaded with a string of golden Indian jewelry. The crown on his head is representative of his princehood and the ‘Gadaa’ or mace, of his strength. He is seen wearing his classic orange colored garment around his waist. Himself being a manifestation of lord Shiva, Hanuman adorns a U-shaped mark on his forehead to acknowledge his revered God Vishnu. His innocent, childlike exaggerated features with big eyes and a monkey face makes this chibi irresistible!
