Weeping mothers are one of three types of cihuen spirits. They are often seen on the banks of raging rivers, their constant sobs thundering for miles. The woe behind their cries varies, and it often clings to the things they lost as a result of their treachery. Once, these creatures were living beings whose pain transformed them. They look like humanoid figures clad in a white petal gown that hovers just over the ground, leaking cinders that mark their path. Their
heads are covered by ceremonial headdresses, each unique to their holder.
Like weeping fathers and parents, a weeping motherretains most of her appearance and is recognizable only to those closest to them in life below their headdress. The calmer spirits periodically seek out their loved ones, whom they commonly outlive, seeking to call their attention. Each failure in doing so builds onto their frustration, which in turn makes their wailing stronger, more unbearable.

A team favorite, this spirit, and others like it, are a common sight when exploring Valerna. Dangerous, tragic creatures.
