Funerary statue of a feline made of marble and probably found in Attica. The muzzle and forelegs are missing. The hind legs, sharp claws and folded tail have a pronounced plasticity. The small, bony head and sinewy body add intensity to the animal's expression. The shallow notch in the neck was probably used to attach a band. The statue and its integral plinth were probably part of a large funerary monument.
