The damaged hulk drifts through space, shrouded in the blackness of space and its twisted metal glinting in starlight with the promise of mystery. Was the Ataphoi destroyed by pirates for its cargo, or by the imperial navy because of some alien infestation? Are there any survivors, or is it legitimate salvage? What secrets do its mostly intact hull hold?
This 28 mm scale modular starship makes a perfect spooky encounter or the perfect set piece for a game day. The Ataphoi is based on the Starship Chimera design, and has a printed length at 28mm of over 90 cm (3 feet)!
For Chimera veterans, the Ataphoi makes use of the ghost ship, escape pods, forward airlock, and a host of favourites plucked from the Cerberus and Pegasus. It also includes 45 brand new parts to tell a story, from battle-damaged parts such as the punctured power core, beam damage that cuts through the entire ship, and high fidelity cryotubes, some of which have a suspicious fist-sized crack that look to have been made from the inside...

This ship is a combination of new and old parts. The newer parts are optimised to make use of fewer supports and in many cases, no supports. They should be positioned already for optimal printing.
Older parts have OpenLOCK built in supports that must be removed with pliers after the print. However, they dow print support free.
Print in place hinges require that you do not have any XY Compensation or the equivalent setting on your printer.
The ship connects using OpenLOCK clips (included). We recommend using the tight clips for the lower hull to ensure the ship stays together well.
