Raplacement case for chinese hygrometer found on ALiExpress.
This alternative case is much thinner than the original one and allows you to tape it into your transparent drybox so that it is readable from the outside.
The last picture shows the hygrometer before modification.

I use a tight fit for my designs. Therefore, the "Horizontal Expansion" / "X-Y ... compensation" in your slicer should be properly calibrated.
To give you an idea, ABS prints usually do not require any compensation. PLA might take a value down to -0.1mm if your printer is not very precise.
Note: The printed thread has an added play of 0.2mm
