Original Model by MableStory on Sketchfab
Remix & Repair by me, KFP Sticky Note Service
The model is of Takanashi Kiara, the CEO of the world wide fast-food chain Kiara Fried Phoenix (KFP)
This is my 2nd model I uploaded in the name of the Glorious KFP (we are not a cult). This model, as MableStory alledgedly spend 40 hours to make, took me 40 DAYS to remix, repair , and prove that it is printable. I will show how I print them, but not how I repair them because it is so complex I just can't.
I mean, count the parts.
All the printing details will be in the printing section.
For coloring guide, visit MableStory's Sketchfab page I linked above. Look at her gorgeous color and follow as you please. I made a few changes myself. The hair, for one, will be 1 color because I can't paint well. The employee doll will be in yellow because I am currently a chick phase in my member badge.
Hope you enjoy this project! Viva la Kiara! Glory to the KFP!
- update -
I'm not a good painter so it takes me a long time to finish painting. Update to add photos of the finsihed model. Note on attaching stuffs. I find cheap CA glue not up to par. The chimkin doll is attached with Loctite 401 and supported for 24 hours. I suggest every joint to be glued for strength, in particular the base-foot. Depending on your infill setting, she might be too heavy for the joint. In my case, Gold Silk PLA snap right off. Glue the entire foot to the base and it solves the problem.
The quickest part to print is the Zip. It takes 58 seconds.
The longest time taken by the Head. It takes literally 69 hours. No joke. See the image of my gcode file exported from Cura 4.8. As expected from Lower Left Tenchou.
Total print-time combine is 10,970 minutes or 7 days 4 hours and 50 minutes of straight nonstop print.
Every parts is printed by 0.4 nozzle in my case. Pretty sure a finer nozzle will make a finer print.
I printed her at 0.8 resolution, using the closest color to the desired part color. The print is done at 205c. Speed was 30mmps for every part. Use brim on every part except the zip, otherwise you will not be able to remove the brim off the zip.
Orientation of each part is as shown in the photos.
I would rearrange the Doll model the other way around, face up, if I decide to reprint it. This would make a smoother face. The current orientation produce a smooth bum. I did that because I forgot how the doll was being held.
Removing support will require patience and dedication. You will need a lot of sandpaper to smooth the model afterwards.
Some parts must be glued. They are the zip, both feathers, both ribbons, and you must super glue the foot to the base. The pin was there to arrange. It cannot handle the weight of the model after the head is attached.
If you're a KFP employee, I know you have what it takes! Viva la Kiara!
