This is a mount for holding a flashlight near the muzzle of a Marlin Model 60 rifle. The Model 60 has been made for decades and sports a classic, non-threatening profile in the very-approachable 22LR chambering. Unfortunately for those owners who have needs the Marlin could be used for in low-light situations, there is no factory or existing aftermarket solution for mounting a light to make safe usage possible in those scenarios.
Installation requires that the front sight be temporarily removed (this is a one-screw job, very quick and easy) so the unit can be slid over the muzzle and magazine tube. The mount is then secured using a screw and nut. The holes are 3.15mm, which was about right for some of the smaller metric screws I had lying around. I also used some small washers, one on each side, to distribute the force on the surface. Installation of the flashlight is the same - insert the light, fasten with screw, nut, and washers. DO NOT PLAY HE-MAN AND OVERTIGHTEN THE SCREWS, your print may split! 22LR does not kick, you don't need to be able to hammer nails with the thing.
This design fits my personal Model 60 and a custom brass EC35 flashlight from Acebeam. If you have that particular light, minimal changes to the model should be necessary. Other lights will likely require that you change the size of that inner diameter on the model, which I have included along with the STL file. This model was created in FreeCAD, and will likely be easiest to edit there as well since all the automatic calculations linking dimensions should remain intact.
NOTE: This was made for a left-handed shooter and places the flashlight on the right side of the rifle. You will need to mirror it in your slicer if you would like a right-handed version.
I printed this with 15% infill on bog-standard settings on my Ender 3 Pro. I did use a bed-adhesive brim, but no supports were required.
