Description
PSP Go battery expansion rear shell. I do not have the exact screw information, but I've measured the length to be 15.15mm and the width and threads obviously match the originals :) Included here are 2 versions of the same model as well as the STEP of each for easy modding for those who like cool things. The only real difference between the models is that the FDM version has a chamfer instead of a fillet around the back edge for easier printing. The pictures show the FDM version.

I just finished mine and I'd like to give anyone interested in this mod some insight. What you need: - 1 PSP Go (obviously) - 1 rear shell (printed from this design) - 1 PS Vita battery (Warning: you may need to cut off part of the connector to make it fit the slot on the PSP Go mainboard) - 4 screws (M1.6 x 16mm) and the necessary Philips screwdriver (#00) - Electrical tape and double-sided tape Remove the original rear shell (you may follow a disassembly video for this), remove the sticker that blocks the battery connector from access and lift the battery connector off the mainboard. So far so easy. Now you wanna install the Vita battery. Hiwever, I found that I couldn't click it in place like the original battery. I solved this by cutting off the plastic on the sides of the connector. If you have to do this, keep in mind that you will have to secure the connector somehow. I used electrical tape for this and put some double-sided tape on top that would secure the battery, which would also cover the connector. After making sure that all is nice and tight, just put the printed rear shell on top and screw it down. Two bits of constructive criticism, though. I made three prints in different colors (gold metallic, dark turquoise and the translucent blue one shown) and all of them had two major problems. The first one are those three overhanging thingamajigs at the top that are used instead of the rings of the original rear shell (where the two top screws go in). I ended up using a knife to get them in shape so I could barely fit the rear shell without them standing out. I don't know, but maybe removing them altogether as an option is still viable. The second thing I'd like to mention is that the L and R buttons can get stuck easily when playing with this shell. Hopefully this problem is going to fix itself after a while of playing and maybe wearing down the shell just a bit. Otherwise I'll have to Dremel away at it myself.
