¡Bienvenidos a CDMX!
As a homage to Mexico's capital city, MiniWorld 3D brings the most complete collection of its landmarks and famous buildings! This project is huge so we'll break it in parts, each containing a few buildings following a theme.
Part 2 are the giant skyscrapers of Reforma avenue, modern towers that are amongst the tallest in Mexico City and all Latin America. These are the Torre Mayor, Torre Reforma, and Torre BBVA. (We'll update this with a 4th tower which is now under construction!)
The first of these to be built was Torre Mayor (739.5 ft / 225m), which for some time stood out from the entire skyline. This tower innovated by using X shaped internal structures to help it endure earthquakes, common and powerful in Mexico City.
Later, other skyscrapers rose around it, along Reforma avenue. This is one of Mexico City's financial sectors, full of hotels, major company headquarters, embassies, museums, etc. Torre Reforma (current tallest at 807 ft. / 246m) shares the land lot with an existing and protected old building, so it's ground floor surrounds it and then towers above it. It is located immediately next to Torre Mayor.
Torre BBVA Bancomer (771 ft. / 235m) is the headquarters for Mexico for international bank BBVA. The entire building is used by this corporation, along with an annex, not shown in this 3D model. This is located directly across the street from Torres Mayor and Reforma.
(All from Wikipedia).
Note that all the models in the Mexico City series are in scale to each other, so you can compare their heights and sizes!
MiniWorld 3D is happy to bring these models to life and a smile to all residents of Mexico City! MiniWorld 3D is the collection of 3D printable landmarks and models of the world! All our models are made from scratch by hand and brain, please give credit to all authors.
At 1:1 it is possible to print them without supports, especially with good cooling.
Otherwise, supports may be difficult to remove and can cause breaking model structures.
