Full body 1:10 scale fantasy pin-up figurine.
This is my Patreon release for June 2022. Join now to get monthly model releases, and 30% off my store!
This model is provided cut and keyed ready for slicing and printing (see Printing Details). Custom supports for FDM printing also provided for most parts (some slicer-generated supports also required in some cases).
Also includes a full-figure version, in case you'd prefer to cut and key the model for yourself, as well as an alternative 60mm base.
Note: The STLs provided do not contain colour information. Colour renders in the gallery are to show my design intent, and to give you ideas when painting your print.
The STL files are provided in the orientations I used for my successful test prints.
All of my test prints were sliced in Cura and printed on my FDM printer at 0.1mm layer height, unless otherwise noted. I used Line supports with support interface, unless otherwise noted.
The details given apply to FDM, unless otherwise stated.
Full Figure
This is provided for you to cut and key for yourself if you want to. It is not intended to be printed as is.
Note, the keys for the feet are provided, but they are separate shells, so you can remove them easily if you need to.
Display Base
The solid version is intended for FDM printing, and the hollow version for SLA. No supports needed for FDM.
Model Base
I printed this at 0.15mm layer height for speed.
Needs supports around the edges, little bits in the ivy bush, and a little in one of the stair cracks, although you might want to consider not supporting that stair crack (see Alternative Base).
Alternative Base
This base is for if you don't want to print the big base. I let Cura add support for the horizontal crack in the top stair, but maybe that was a mistake. It was quite difficult to remove, so it's probably better not to support it. Otherwise, no support is needed.
Legs
I recommend using the custom supports* for stability. I used tree supports without support interface for this. You should be able to get away with no support above the bottom edge of the back of the dress. There are a couple of overhangs higher up (at the dangling ends of the belt knot, and under the back of the belt), but they printed fine for me.
I used a 6mm brim and increased my build plate temperature by 5 degrees to get good adhesion.
Upperbody
I recommend using the custom support* for stability of the initial islands. I used tree supports without support interface, which worked nicely. Support is needed in many places, but I put a support blocker in around they key hole of the left arm, because the overhangs there could be bridged easily without support.
Left Arm & Right Arm
I recommend using the custom support*, which is the only support needed.
Left Hand & Right Hand
I recommend using the custom support* for stability of the initial islands. A fair amount of other supports are needed, but I've oriented the pieces so the supports fall on the least visible surfaces.
(Note I've marked each version L & R on the bottom of the key, but unfortunately it turned out to be too small to be visible on my prints.)
Lamppost Base
Shouldn't need any supports.
Lamppost Mid
I recommend using the custom support* for stability. Shouldn't need any other supports. I used a 6mm brim and increased the build plate temperature by 5 degrees for adhesion.
Lamp Body
Shouldn't need any supports, just print it upside down.
Lamp Top
Needs supports just for the bottom around the key. The auto line supports with support interface were perfect, just take care when removing not to break off the key.
*How to use custom supports in Cura:
You need to download the "Mesh Tools" plugin from the Cura Marketplace.
Import the STL file, right click the model and go to Mesh Tools > Split model into parts. Select each custom support, click on "Per Model Settings" on the left of the screen, and then choose "Print as support".
