These are custom fitted parts to be printed in tpu for the tbs source-one v5 frame. Visit my youtube to see it in action. The idea behind this skin is simplicity. As of now there is no hole for connecting to the fc. This is because new fc's have wireless connectivity. (update Ive included a new version with a usb hole to fit the mamba f411. It may fit other fc's) The fc guard is designed to shield the fc and esc wires while staying slim. The vtx is deigned for an akk vtx/dvr. The button for record is accesable with the sd card cover engaged. This flexible flap keeps the card from ejecting on impact but is relatively easy to manipulate and you can visually see the state of the sd card slot. Both buttons are functional but the record button is easier to engage than the vtx chan. The rear is designed to protect a stubby antenna and to hold an immortal T antenna. (Update-I added a tpu cusion for between the frame and vtx. I also keep smashing antennas so there is now a V2 rear which has been slimmed down and it shields the stubby better than the first iteration.) This is the benefit of a year of crashing and design. My daily basher is still flying after two years because of these parts.
I would love to see pictures of your builds and get feedback on your experience with my files. Many more to come ;-}>
Im printing on an anet a8 with a custom direct drive. My best print settings have been 180deg nozzle, 65bed temp first layers 60 after that. print speed is 40 and fan is at 85%. I design to print without supports, as long as theres a good firts layer it should print. I print wach part individually.
The file is programmed in inches. If it appears tiny, to display it correctly multiply the scale by 25.4 this just converts inches/millimeters. Some slicers I have to do this. Its a machinist trick.
