Trojan Horse

The Trojan Horse model is a fun and decorative print that features a large open internal storage compartment accessed through a hatch on the underside... perfect for hiding away small items including money, jewellery, keys and more. Great to use yourself or as a unique gift. They look great in any colour...
The tail / hatch print as two parts (although an .stl including both parts in one print is also included). The horse part is a print-in-place design that, with a good slicing app and accurate machine, will produce a model with free rotating wheels.
Note: As not all slicing apps / machines produce the same result the standard tail hatch (tail.stl) may print slightly loose for some people. If you are confident your slicing app and machine are precise and accurate to the design you can use the tail_notch.stl. The only difference is a small hump half way along he sliding part which will make it slightly tighter to insert / harder to remove. This may cause it to be too tight for some people... if that happens you can file the notch down a fraction.
At standard scale the Trojam Horse (with the tail/hatch installed) measures 136mm x 105mm x 32.5mm.Large areas inside the Trojam Horse have been left empty to reduce print time and filament usage. The hatch measures approx.24mm x 14mm. The internal cavity is 68mm x 25mm x 25mm... plenty of space to hide away lost of 'small / precious things.

This is an easy print but DO NOT USE SUPPORT as this could result in the wheels not turning freely and the internal storage area being filled. Machines with good bridging capability should produce good results.
Please refer to the instructions provided and images for additional information.
Note: If you like this check out he rest of my fun and practical designs... and please post images of your prints!
Recommend using Raft for ease of removal from the build plate. DO NOT USE SUPPORT as that may result in the internal storage area being filled and the wheels not turning. This design prints well without support on machines /slicing apps with good bridging capability.
Just hide things inside!
Once the Raft is removed install the tail / hatch slider and your Trojan Horse is ready to display and 'secretly' store things away.

Printed scaled to 80% without support. Slicing by Cura. The wheels move, and the tail fits just right.
