Ideal for tracking the health of the biggest, baddest units in your tabletop army, this handy counter tracks up to 99 wounds. A clever locking mechanism ensures the numbers count down to zero with a satisfying *click* on each rotation.
STLs have been laid out in the ideal orientations for FDM printing. I recommend using a 0.2mm nozzle for dimensional accuracy. This will help pieces fit together.
INSTRUCTIONS:
1) Insert "Crank L" and "Crank R" into the recessed sides of "Spinner L" and "Spinner R" respectively. These do not need to be glued together.
2) Slide these combined pieces onto either side of the "Axel Rod" such that the teeth of the gears are together. Ensure both spinners rotate freely and smoothly.
3) Slide this combined piece laterally into the "Shell Center" piece, and set assembly aside.
4) Prepare the "Frame" by gluing the "Ratched Holder" into the appropriate slot. Then glue a 3x2mm magnet into the small circular slot.
5) Prepare the "Ratchet Arm" by gluing a 3x2mm magnet into the small circular slot. The magnets should be oriented so that they attract one another.
6) When the glue has fully set, slide the "Ratchet Arm" onto the "Ratchet Holder" peg. Ensure that the arm can rotate without friction, and magnetically snaps into position.
7) Lower the "Shell Center" assembly with spinners onto the frame. The Shell will only slot into the frame in one orientation. Additionally, the tip of the "Ratchet Arm" should neatly lock into the central spinners' gears.
8) Holding the "Axel Rod" in place, spin the cranks to test if the arms successfully click into position and count down from 9 to 0. When you are satisfied, glue down the tips of the "Axel Rod" to the "Frame", and glue the "Shell Center" piece to the "Frame".
9) Slide the "Shell L" and "Shell R" pieces horizontally over the frame until they are flush with "Shell Center" and glue them in place. If you prefer, you can omit these pieces entirely, giving you easier access to the cranks on each side.
10) Slife the "Cap L" and "Cap R" pieces horizontally over the frame until they are flush with the arms of the "Frame" holding the "Axel Rod". Glue them in place.
11) Finished! Enjoy your fancy new wound counter and happy wargaming!
-- note that 3x2mm magnets are required to complete the assembly of this print. Because the magnets slot into these holes, changing the scale of this print is not recommended --
