Description
Unknown provenance. The relief belongs to the <<funerary banquet>> type. A reclining hero is depicted at the right with a polos on his head and holding a rhyton. His companion sits on a stool. In front of them is a table with food, with a dog lying beneath it. The panel on the pillar in the background denotes the sacred area in which the scene is set. At the left, a wine-pourer stands next to a krater, and a family of worshippers approaches. According to the inscription, these are the dedicator, Andropheles, and his three children, for whom the dedication was made.
