An entry into the jewelry category of the Sinterit SLS Printing design competition.
One of the first thoughts I had when looking at a printing method that required no connection between parts was chainmail, one of the most notorious and monotonous to make materials in the world. And I think this worked out pretty well.
The designing portion was a bit annoying at the start, but it's essentially just a single strand of chain patterned in a circle with small clusters as a hem. I could tell you how many chains there are, but I challenge you to count!
All parts, aside from the sets at the ends, are separated by at least .2 mm, and the Lisa should have no problem printing it well. I really want to see footage of this being pulled from a pile of plastic dust. It is built to be fragile, but it was meant to be as a piece of jewelry.
The render is in Fusion 360, with the appearance of silver.
