Hampson ID: HZ_1827
Form: Bottle
Site: Hazel
This bottle from the Hazel site is a good example of the difficulty in differentiating between Mississippian Plain and Bell Plain classification. It would traditionally be considered a Mississippian Plain vessel although the shell particles that are visible are generally smaller than the typical Mississippian Plain tempering paste found at Hazel.
