Here is a basic Tsuba design for a Katana style Bokken (bokutō 木刀). It was based on the existing Tsuba on one of my Bokkens.
While there are already Tsuba designs on other 3D websites, I thought I'd make one just so I could have a different colour on my own Bokkens. I for some reason like making my things from scratch rather than downloading existing designs.
Print time at 0.15mm with a 30% infill was about 1 hour 50 minutes. I normally use 15% infill for my prints, but felt that a higher infill would give better impact resistance.
Of course it all still depends on the material used, which in my case was PLA.
The design measures at 7.85mm x 7.85mm x 6mm, and as shown in the photos fits my bokken. It was a tight fit, but the original this was based on was a tight fit also.
Both STL and OBJ are included.
Print at 0.2 mm layer height, with 10% infill. This uses 13 g of filament and takes 2 hours and 48 minutes.
