Twenty five plus years in my field. One of my earliest memories of the technological feats of humans, was watching as Neil Armstrong stepped off of the lunar lander in slow motion, into the dust covering the surface of our moon. So for myself, it doesn't seem so strange when, as humans, we accomplish what we once thought impossible. I have seen countless breakthroughs and new technologies since then, happening at an exponentially growing rate, and each time another comes to pass, my heart starts racing, and I become that five year old child again, my excitement about the future welling up and spilling out my mouth in the form of words that quickly make my wife's eyes glaze over as she struggles to be polite and listen... I am convinced that I am living in the most interesting of times. My only regret would be if I die before I can see how it all plays out, so I am counting on 3D printing technology to come up with a set of replacement organs before that happens!
