This drone model is part of the MicroDrone 3.0 design competition.
Welcome to SpiderDrone 1.0
Please print both pieces (use supports). It's recommended to use 3 top layers, 2 bottom layers, and 3 permeters. If printed with ABS (recommended) acetone vapor-smoothing will give added strength.
Remove the circuit board from the microdrone and also the 4 legs (but remember which leg goes where). Put the legs into the newly printed base, place the circuit board on top, and attach with 4 screws. Don't attach too tightly, only a snug fit is required. Route the battery cable so it points to the rear and attach the cables for the 4 legs. Test to make sure the drone still flies correctly.
Finally, put the spider shell on top with the head directly over the circuit board and the body overlapping the rear blades. Use 2 screws to attach into the printed legs. If you don't have 2 additional screws, you can remove 2 screws from the circuit board (just remember to leave 2 screws in opposite corners still holding the circuit board down).
Note: You may need to adjust the trim controls to achieve normal flight.
